Where is Bethany Christian Church?

Bethany Christian Church is at the corner of North Rangeline Road and Cross Street in Anderson, Indiana. Just type in your starting address below and let Google Maps direct you.

What should I wear?

Please dress comfortably. While some do wear their “Sunday best,” most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come expecting a great experience.

Where should I park?

As a first time visitor, you will probably find our main parking lot south of the church, accessed from Rangeline Road, to be the most convenient.  As you pull into the parking lot, just drive back until you see the large “Main Entrance” sign. Park wherever you like and enter the building through the Main Entrance.  Our Welcome Center is just to your left as you enter the building.  Feel free to stop and ask any questions you may have, like “Where are the rest rooms?” “Where is the nursery?” or “Are any classes available for my child?”  Our volunteers will be happy to help you.

Where do my children go?

We want you to know that we work hard at making your child’s morning with us a great one. The morning is filled with different events each service time. Therefore, it takes your child being here both service times for them to experience all the aspects of the day we have for them. Classes are held in several classrooms, including The Garden, The Ark, Sonshine Station, Promise Land, and the Discovery Zone. Please stop by our Welcome Center located in the Atrium and we will be happy to get your child(ren) and you to the right place.

What type of music/worship is there?

Our 75 minute Worship Celebrations include a dynamic blend of the newest worship songs of today, and the time-tested songs of the faith.  Worship at Bethany Christian Church is intentionally varied to include choirs, ensembles and soloists, and guitars, congas, keyboards, brass, drums, flutes–and anything else that can be used to express our adoration and thanks in praise.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

No, as our guest please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. If you are blessed by the ministry of Bethany and become a regular attendee you will want to express your gratitude to God by investing in what He is doing through this congregation.

Should I take communion?

Communion is an act of remembering what Jesus did for us through His death on the cross.  His death was for the forgiveness of our sins so we could enter a new relationship with God and one another.  We eat a small piece of bread and drink a small individual container of grape juice as they are passed.  The bread symbolizes His body given for us and the juice symbolizes His blood that He shed for us.  Communion is open to all Christians who desire to partake.

Are there special arrangements for the hearing impaired?

At the Welcome Center, both print copies of the sermon and amplifiers are available.  Lyrics to worship songs will be shown on the screen.
